Direct departments to complete all preparations well ahead of the mega event

Jalandhar, October 1, (The Hind Canadian Times) : Punjab Horticulture and Defence Services Welfare Minister Mohinder Bhagat, Chairman of the Punjab Safai Karamchari Association Chandan Grewal, Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia, and Commissioner of Police Satinder Singh announced today that the Punjab Government will make foolproof arrangements for the upcoming Shobha Yatra on October 24 to mark the Pargat Utsav of Bhagwan Valmiki Ji.

Presiding over a review meeting with various religious and social organizations here today, they assured that elaborate arrangements would be put in place to enable devotees to participate in the Shobha Yatra with full religious fervor, gaiety, and enthusiasm. They stated that no stone would be left unturned to make the event a seamless success.

The Minister said that essential measures—including traffic diversions, designated parking, route planning, cleanliness, and robust security—will be organized to ensure pilgrims encounter no difficulties during the event. He emphasized that the Pargat Utsav will be celebrated with immense religious fervor, urging people to walk the path shown by Bhagwan Valmiki Ji to help build an egalitarian society. He also lauded the dedicated efforts of social and religious groups in organizing the annual celebrations, promising that all suggestions raised during the meeting will be implemented in letter and spirit.

Commissioner of Police Satinder Singh reviewed the security setup and pledged that the Jalandhar Commissionrate Police will maintain strict, comprehensive security for the safety and convenience of all devotees.Representatives from several religious and social organizations actively participated in the meeting, sharing valuable feedback and suggestions.
