The central ceremony at Gurdwara Janam Asthan witnessed the special participation of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, Minister of State for Minority Affairs Khalil Das Kohistani, and Punjab's Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tasleem Akhtar Rao, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, and members of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee were also present on the occasion.
Minister of State Khalil Das Kohistani expressed his joy upon visiting Gurdwara Janam Asthan and extended warm Vaisakhi greetings to the Sikh community on behalf of the Hindu community. He emphasized that Baba Guru Nanak's philosophy is rooted in love, peace, and humanity—principles that are vital to follow.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf stated that all minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete religious freedom. He noted that Sikh pilgrims return home with feelings of love and respect for Pakistan. He also commended the administration for their excellent arrangements.
Punjab Minister for Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora congratulated the Sikh community on the Khalsa Birth Anniversary and highlighted that 6,800 visas were issued starting April 10—marking a historic moment. He noted that such a large number of Sikh pilgrims have come to Pakistan for the first time. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, the Chief Minister of Punjab, the Chief Secretary, and the Home Secretary for their support.
Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora further stated that inactive gurdwaras in Pakistan will soon be made functional again. He emphasized that people of all faiths in Pakistan celebrate each other's joys, unlike the situation in India where minorities often feel insecure. He also appreciated the local administration, especially the Deputy Commissioner and District Police Officer of Nankana Sahib, for their outstanding arrangements.
The event concluded with a strong message of interfaith harmony and a renewed commitment to follow the teachings of Baba Guru Nanak. On behalf of the provincial minister, ceremonial robes (Saropas) were presented to ( SGPC)Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Jatha Leader Young Bahadur Singh, ( DGPC)Delhi Gurdwara Management Committee Jatha Leader Daljit Singh, Jagjeet Singh Pullar, Saranjeet Singh, Jaheender Kaur, Ravinder Singh, Sardar Mahesh Singh, Sardar Bishan Singh, Bhagat Singh, Tara Singh, and members of the (PSGPC )Pakistan Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee. Special prayers were also offered for peace in Pakistan and around the world.
A magnificent fireworks display took place on the night of
Vaisakhi.
