Highlighting the vision behind the initiative, Mr. Bhagat stated that the event is designed to bridge the gap between senior citizens and government welfare schemes, ensuring they seamlessly reap the benefits. "Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, our government cares for every citizen—whether youth, child, or elder. Senior citizens are an invaluable part of our extended family, and serving and honoring them is our prime duty," the Minister said. He further emphasized that the state-wide district-level drives are aimed at spreading awareness so that families and society alike recognize and honor the invaluable contributions of the elderly.
The comprehensive program featured multiple public welfare initiatives, including healthcare check-up camps, digital literacy camps, legal aid services provided by the DLSA, and self-help group exhibits. Pension sanction letters were officially distributed to eligible beneficiaries alongside hundreds of plant saplings under the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" initiative.
The event witnessed participation from notable dignitaries, including Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rahul Kumar, DSSO Ravinder Singh, Secretary Red Cross Society Surjeet Lal, alongside senior officials of various departments.
