Jalandhar, June 24,2026 (The Hind Canadian Times) : Today in Jalandhar, Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Bittu was arriving to lay the foundation stone for projects at Guru Nanak Pura Railway Crossing and Garha Railway Crossing. Before the program began, the health of senior leader Manoranjan Kalia, who was present there, suddenly worsened. At that time, Dr. Mukesh Walia, who was present at the venue, took charge of the situation, and with the help of workers, Kalia was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
It may be recalled that the Minister of State for Railways
is scheduled today to lay the foundation stone for the construction work of
railway overbridges at Guru Nanak Pura Crossing and Garha Crossing. Because of
this, Guru Nanak Pura Crossing will remain closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Alternative arrangements have been made for the public.
