Minister lauds Being Human Foundation’s contribution towards strengthening city’s anti-dengue drive
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Bhagat said the addition of these new fogging units will further intensify the city’s ongoing efforts to control mosquito breeding, particularly in the aftermath of the monsoon season. “These machines will play a crucial role in ensuring cleaner, healthier surroundings by preventing the spread of vector-borne diseases such as dengue, malaria, and chikungunya,” he remarked.
The Minister extended appreciation to the Bollywood Star Salman Khans's Being Human Foundation for donating these fogging machines, terming the initiative a commendable example of collaboration between the administration and social organizations. He added that such collective efforts reinforce the civic body’s existing infrastructure and strengthen its capacity to respond swiftly to public health challenges.
Notably, Fogging machines are widely recognized for their effectiveness in dispersing insecticides over large areas, helping eliminate mosquitoes and disrupt breeding cycles.
The Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to safeguarding citizens’ health and urged residents to keep their surroundings clean and free of stagnant water to complement official anti-mosquito drives. Meanwhile, the Councillors appreciated the efforts of Cabinet Minister Mohinder Bhagat for procuring these 32 new fogging machines for their wards which will further strengthen efforts against vector borne disease.
Prominent amongst others present on the occasion included Atul Bhagat, Kuldeep Bhagat, District Media Incharge Sanjiv Bhagat, Raj Kumar Raju, Balwinder Kumar, and Harjinder Ladda.
