A masterpiece film of the past, in which the historical roles of Soja Singh and Nizam Lohar were played, was presented by Indian renowned Punjabi film director Iqbal Tellon. A proposal was made to make a film about them again, the story of which will revolve around a freedom fighter. The film will feature collaborations between Pakistani and Indian artists, including renowned artists like Sonam Bajwa, Meru Bajwa, Gippy Grewal and Benno Dhillon.
Director Masood Butt said in his speech on the occasion, "There is a need to build a strong relationship with the Pakistani film industry and develop the industry. I have made a record 93 films in Pakistan and I wish that Pakistan's film industry be given the status of an industry."
Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora, while discussing the promotion of ties between Pakistani and Indian culture on this occasion, said that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has vigorously promoted Punjab's culture during her one-year tenure and is continuing it without any discrimination of color or race. He said, "It is important to work to promote films in the Punjabi language and we all have to spread the message of love and affection together." He assured full cooperation for the early launch of the joint venture film and expressed his determination that this meeting would prove to be an important effort to improve cultural relations between Pakistan and India and increase cooperation in the field of arts between the two countries. Associate Director Rana Ilyas, famous lyricist Altaf Bajwa, renowned Indian film director Iqbal Telon, while members of Punjab Assembly Ijaz Alam Augustine and Emmanuel Athar were also present on the occasion.
