- Enters details personally on the online portal
- Appeals to district residents to actively participate in self-enumeration
The Deputy Commissioner said that self-enumeration is a facility through which citizens can enter their own information on the government portal. He stated that for this, citizens need to visit the official Census portal (se.census.gov.in). They must log in using their mobile number and basic details. After that, the required information must be filled in on the portal. Once the form is successfully submitted, the portal will generate a ‘Self-Enumeration ID’ (SE ID). When the census official visits the household, the citizen only needs to show this ID. This will verify the information, and there will be no need to fill the form again.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the residents of the district to participate actively in the self-enumeration process. On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amaninder Kaur and Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Suman Deep Kaur were also present.
