The SPS Major Crimes Section took over the investigation and all three individuals have now been charged with Criminal Code offences. Harjot Singh, 21, Taranvir Singh, 19, and Dayajit Singh Billing, 21, have been charged with one count of discharging a firearm in a place contrary to section 244.2(1)(a) of the Criminal Code. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be forthcoming.
All three have been remanded in custody until February 5, 2026. SPS has confirmed that they are all foreign nationals and have contacted the Canada Border Services Agency. SPS is asking anyone with information about this incident, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact SPS on its non-emergency number 604-599-0502 and cite file 26-10642 (SP).
SPS is releasing photographs of Harjot Singh, Taranvir Singh and Dayajit Singh Billing while it is determined that this disclosure is necessary to assist in the ongoing police investigation.
