Jalandhar Judicial Officers Distribute Flood Relief

Jalandhar, Sept 05,2025 (The Hind Canadian Times) : As per the directions of Hon’ble Executive Chairman & Ld. Member Secretary, Punjab Legal Services Authority and under the guidance of Sh. Nirbhow Singh Gill, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalandhar and in collaboration with all judicial officers of the Jalandhar Sessions Division have launched a comprehensive flood relief efforts.

Sh. Nirbhow Singh Gill, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalandhar today flag out three vans for distributing necessary essential relief materials accompanied by All the Additional Sessions Judges, CJM, ACJM & Sh. Rahul Kumar, CJM-cum- Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalandhar.

The teams headed by Sh. Rahul Kumar, CJM-cum- Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalandhar accompanied by Ms. Harsimranjit Kaur, SDJM, Nakodar, Sh. Tarunpreet Singh & Ms. Mahema Bhuler (Both Civil Judges, Nakodar), Sh. Lal Bishwas, SDM, Nakodar & Bar Members of Nakodar Bar Association visited villages Bir Baloki, Uddowal, Lohgard & Vehra of Nakodar Sub Division and distributed essential relief materials to the needy people.

Sh. Rahul Kumar, CJM-cum- Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalandhar on the occasion said that these efforts shall also be continued in coming days by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Jalandhar.

This initiative aims to provide urgent assistance to residents of flood-affected villages by distributing essential relief materials. The relief packages include ration kits, tarpaulins, sanitary pads, slippers and other necessary items to help families cope with the devastation caused by the recent floods.

This collaborative effort highlights the judiciary's commitment to social welfare and its role in providing support to the community during times of crisis. The relief distribution is a direct response to the critical needs of those displaced or severely impacted by the flooding, ensuring they have access to basic necessities.
