Secretary ETPB Farid Iqbal and Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar warmly received the pilgrims upon their arrival.
According to the itinerary, the first group of pilgrims, traveling in 65 buses, reached Lahore from Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hassan Abdal. The second group, in 62 buses, arrived from Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur after visiting Gurdwara Rohri Sahib in Eminabad.
Earlier, the pilgrims performed religious rituals at Gurdwara Janam Asthan, Nankana Sahib; Gurdwara Panja Sahib, Hassan Abdal; and Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur.
Special ceremonies were held in honor of the pilgrims under ETPB’s arrangements. The visiting yatris expressed their joy and gratitude for the hospitality they received in Pakistan and raised slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad.”
The pilgrims will spend tomorrow in Lahore, visiting local markets to buy gifts for their loved ones. They are scheduled to return to India via the Wagah Border the following morning, on April 19.
