At the Wagah Border, Pradhan Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, PSGPC Secretary Abandoned Waqf Properties Board Farid Iqbal, Additional Secretary Shrine Saifullah Khokhar, senior officials and other Sikh leaders will welcome the pilgrims. To promote religious tourism, the government has issued visas to 6751 pilgrims, contrary to the agreement signed between Pakistan and India. According to the spokesperson, special arrangements have been made for accommodation, transport and medical care for the pilgrims on the orders of Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf. Gurdwara Janmashtham Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Panja Sahib Hassan Abdal and others have been beautifully decorated.
Due to the higher number of Indian pilgrims coming to Pakistan this year, the previously scheduled schedule has been changed and the pilgrims have been divided into two groups. After arriving at Wagah, the first group will leave for Gurdwara Panja Sahib Hassan Abdal. After immigration at Wagah terminal, the second group will be sent to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur under tight security. On April 12, both the groups of pilgrims will reach Gurdwara Janmashtham Nankana Sahib. Members of both groups will return to Nankana Sahib after performing the Yatra to Gurudwara Sacha Sauda Farooqabad on April 13. On April 14, the main ceremony of the Vaisakhi Mela will be held at Gurdwara Janm Asthan Nankana Sahib. On April 15, the group coming to Nankana from Gurudwara Panja Sahib Hassan Abdal will leave for Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur, while the other group will leave for Hassan Abdal for the Yatra to Gurdwara Panja Sahib, where after staying for one day, both groups of Sikh pilgrims will reach Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore on April 17. Both groups of pilgrims will also perform the Yatra to Gurdwara Rohri Sahib Aimanabad on their return from Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur as per their schedule. The Indian pilgrims will leave for India on April 19 after completing their visit to Pakistan after staying for one day in Lahore.
