Kabaddi and Sher Punjab Dangal final matches held at Jilani Park in connection with Horse and Cattle Show

Provincial Ministers Ramesh Singh Arora, Chaudhry Shafi Hussain and Kazim Pirzada participated

A tri-country Kabaddi tournament will be held in April, teams from India and India will participate - President Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Provincial Minister Chaudhry Shafi Hussain

Pakistan Kabaddi Federation President and Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafi Hussain presented the trophy to the captain of the winning team in the final of the Kabaddi match. Minority Affairs Minister Ramesh Singh Arora was also present on the occasion.

Lahore, 19 Feb 2025 (The Hind Canadian Times) :  The final match of Kabaddi was held at Jilani Park under the auspices of PHA in connection with Horse and Cattle Show. Similarly, the final competition of Sher Punjab Dangal was also held. Chairman Pakistan Kabaddi Federation and Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafi Hussain attended as the special guest, while Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora, Provincial Minister for Irrigation Kazim Pirzada and General Secretary of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Rana Muhammad Sarwar and other officials also participated.

The final match was held between the Pakistan WAPDA and Pakistan Air Force kabaddi teams. The Pakistan WAPDA team won the final of the kabaddi match. Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafie Hussain, while talking to the media on this occasion, said that a tri-country kabaddi tournament will be organized in April this year in which the kabaddi teams of Pakistan, India and Iran will participate. The provincial minister said that kabaddi is a traditional game of Punjab which is very popular in Punjab. He said that Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi Shaheed and Pakistan Muslim League President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain took practical steps for the promotion of kabaddi. They will promote the traditional and favorite game of Punjab, kabaddi, and more kabaddi tournaments will be organized to promote this game. Chaudhry Shafie Hussain said that the relations between the countries can be improved by promoting sports activities. Sports activities will be completely cleansed of the culture of recommendation.

He said that the large number of families coming to Jilani Park is proof that the steps taken by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz are being appreciated. Organizing such events promotes cultural and tourism activities. Provincial Minister for Minority Affairs Ramesh Singh Arora said that he congratulates the people of Punjab on organizing the Horse and Cattle Show in Lahore after a long time. The credit for organizing this important event goes to the Chief Minister of Punjab and organizing such events is the need of the hour. He said that the people of Punjab were fed up with the politics of protests, nail-studded sticks and sit-ins. The people of Punjab are feeling a pleasant change after a long time. He said that Chaudhry Shafi Hussain's efforts for the promotion of Kabaddi and organizing wonderful Kabaddi events are commendable. The provincial ministers distributed prizes among the winning players and presented a trophy to the captain of the Pakistan WAPDA team that won the final of the kabaddi match. Prizes worth Rs. 1.6 million were distributed among the teams that secured the first, second and third positions in the kabaddi competitions. Earlier, the provincial ministers were garlanded and the players of both the teams were introduced. The provincial ministers were also given commemorative souvenirs by the PHA.
