HMV Collegiate School Organized an Extension Lecture

Punjab, 09 Dec 2024 (The Hind Canadian Times)-Under the sagacious guidance of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, HMV Collegiate  Sr. Sec. School organised profound discussion on the ‘Role of Child Protection in  Fulfilling the Child's Rights in India'. The event was commenced with lamp lighting  and recital of DAV Gaan. The resource person of the event was Dr Simranjeet  kaur, founder and President of DAAT foundation (Charitable Trust). She was  welcomed with a green planter by Principal Dr Mrs Ajay Sareen and Mrs  Arvinder Kaur, School co-coordinator. The Principal Dr (Mrs) Ajay Sareen made  the students aware about Child abuse and stated that it is the duty of every  citizen living in the society to uphold and protect child's rights. She said that  awareness is increasing about violence against children, especially sexual abuse  and we should contribute in every possible way. Dr. Simranjeet Kaur, the resource  person of event informed the different aspects of this issue. She discussed the  reasons and solutions of this major problem elaborately and provided valuable  knowledge about laws related to child rights and protection. Dr Anjana Bhatia,  Dean Innovation and Head of Botony Department also apprised students about  this problem. The students participated in slogan writing, essay writing and poster  making enthusiastically. Discussion was also taken place in which students'  queries were answered by Dr Simranjeet Kaur. Mrs Arvinder Kaur gave vote of  thanks. The stage was conducted by Ms Sukriti Sharma.
